The
Field Guide to Coastal Fishes of Mauritius is a joint
publication of the Albion Fisheries Research Centre and the Japan International
Cooperation Agency. More than 300 species of fishes have been described with
regard to scientific name, local name, English name, Japanese name, size,
feeding habit, description, distribution, habitat, behaviour and other remarks.
This book format is of a 14.5 X 20.5
cm2 with 191 pages, abundantly illustrated with colour photographs.
The objective of the guide is to raise public awareness on the marine ecosystem,
and is recommended to professionals from fisheries, education and tourism
sectors, and to scientists involved in fisheries and marine environment
research.
